Software Engineer (Full Scope Polygraph)

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.

An active TS/SCI security clearance with a full-scope polygraph is required.

Developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements

Contributing to cutting edge development programs and designing new solutions

Innovating RF signal processing applications

Developing analytics, visualization and discovery tools

Integrating new and legacy software across a variety of hardware form factors

Reviewing and testing software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports.

Providing specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software component.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency working in Linux development environments
• Proficiency coding in Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript
• Experience with Jira/Confluence or similar project management tools
• Experience with GitLab, GitHub, or similar version control tools
• 15+ YOE

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Software-Defined Radio (SDR) programming
• Experience with geospatial processing
• Experience coding 2D and 3D image displays

Clearance Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
