Senior Software Engineer

Location: Remote (with occasional travel)

Schedule: Full-time, flexible hours around core office availability

About the Role

Join PSI, a wholly owned subsidiary of ETS, and help build technology that powers human progress. As a Senior Software Developer, you'll design and deliver high-quality software solutions that support our customers and advance our mission. You'll work independently, collaborate across teams, and mentor junior developers-bringing innovation and reliability to every project.

Customers will include the US Government, therefore the successful candidate must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a level 1 (Confidential) security clearance

What You'll Do

Design and Build : Develop, test, and deploy scalable web applications using Java/Spring and SQL.

Solve Problems : Diagnose complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.

Lead Projects : Take ownership of key initiatives and deliver results with minimal supervision.

Enhance Systems : Improve existing functionality and add new features to meet evolving business needs.

Collaborate : Work with product managers, engineers, and subject matter experts in an Agile environment.

Innovate : Research emerging technologies and apply best practices to improve performance and user experience.

Document and Share : Maintain clear product documentation and contribute to process improvements.

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

5+ years in software development roles.

Strong skills in Java, Spring Framework, SQL, and modern front-end technologies (JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS).

Experience with APIs, Node.js, and version control tools (Git).

Familiarity with Agile practices and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) preferred.

Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.

Must be a US Citizen and able to receive a level 1 security clearance

Preferred Experience

JSP development.

Accessibility standards (WCAG).

Tools like JIRA and enterprise-level debugging techniques.
