Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Developer with 7+ years of experience to support onsite application development, enhancements, and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in VB.NET, MS SQL Server, and client-server architecture, along with excellent analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist in evaluating client application requirements, including new development, enhancements, and maintenance.
- Prepare application program specifications and develop/modify computer programs, including small-scale new applications or updates to existing programs.
- Perform analysis, design, coding, debugging, and testing of systems programs.
- Provide production support through maintenance and modifications of existing applications.
- Develop documentation such as technical specifications, logic flows, and test scripts.
- Troubleshoot and provide solutions for non-routine system issues and customer inquiries.
- Utilize standard system development tools and methodologies to comply with validation and FDA audit requirements.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable corporate and divisional policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Configure specialized systems (ERP, MES, etc.) and set system options to support business requirements.
- Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience
- Minimum 7 years of software development experience.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on system development experience (from original text; included but superseded by 7+ yrs requirement).
- College Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proficient in VB.NET.
- Strong expertise in MS-SQL, including Transact-SQL and writing complex stored procedures.
- Experience with MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Ability to quickly adapt and follow the established System Life Cycle (SLC) process and documentation standards.
- Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and technical writing skills.
- Experience in client-server application design and development is an asset.
- Experience in product manufacturing, medical device manufacturing, or testing environments is an asset.
