Software Tester (Manual + Automation) is needed for Testing of Mobile Application with Test Report

We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented QA Tester to join our team and ensure the quality and accuracy of our Glycemic Index (GI) Application. This role involves testing both the functionality and usability of the application across multiple platforms, identifying defects, and reporting them clearly to the development team. The ideal candidate will have a background in mobile or web app testing, a good understanding of user experience, and ideally some familiarity with nutrition or health-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

Execute test cases (manual or automated) for various modules of the Glycemic Index application.

Validate food item entries, GI values, meal planning tools, and glucose tracking features.

Perform functional, UI/UX, regression, and performance testing.

Ensure application meets accessibility and usability standards.

Document and report bugs with detailed steps to reproduce, severity levels, and screenshots/videos when needed.

Work closely with developers and product managers to prioritize and resolve issues.

Contribute to test plan and test case documentation.

Provide feedback on user experience and suggest improvements.

Deliverables

Bug Reports with comprehensive information including:

Bug ID, Summary, Environment, Steps to Reproduce, Expected vs. Actual Results, Severity, Status

Attachments (logs, screenshots, recordings)

Test Case Results Reports per release

Regression Testing Logs

Suggestions for UI/UX improvements (when applicable)

Requirements

Proven experience as a QA tester, preferably in mobile or health-related applications.

Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Experience with bug tracking systems like Jira, Trello, or Bugzilla.

Familiarity with Android/iOS environments and cross-platform testing.

Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Basic understanding of Glycemic Index concepts or a willingness to learn.

(Preferred) Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium).

Nice to Have

Background in health tech or nutrition apps.

Familiarity with databases and ability to write basic SQL queries.

Experience with accessibility testing standards (e.g., WCAG).
