Senior Python Test Automation Developer, Software Testing
Ottawa Hybrid work (4 days onsite per week, 1-day remote) 1-year Contract
About the opportunity
Procom is looking for a Senior Automation Developer to join our client's software verification team in Ottawa. You'll be designing, building, and running the automated tests that validate high profile products before they ever reach a customer. What you'll be doing
- Understand product requirements and translate them into automated tests that validate production software.
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute test suites across multiple verification and validation scopes.
- Lead or contribute to agile teams, working alongside internal design verification groups and external Tier I and Tier II suppliers.
- Help evolve the automation framework itself, thinking about scale, reliability, security, and performance, not just individual test cases.
What you bring
- 8+ years of advanced professional experience with software and requirements verification, building test suites and automation solutions across multiple verification, validation, and integration levels.
- 5+ years specifically implementing test and automation strategies and designing test approaches from the ground up.
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of Python and object-oriented programming.
