OTT QA Engineer / Quality Engineer

Job location: NJ (Hybrid with 3 days onsite at client)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled OTT QA Engineer with strong experience in testing Over-the-Top (OTT) streaming applications across multiple devices and platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience validating video streaming applications on Smart TVs, Roku, tvOS, Android TV, and mobile devices, ensuring high-quality user experiences across different environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for OTT applications across various devices and platforms.
• Validate streaming performance, playback quality, and user interface behavior on Smart TVs, Roku, tvOS, Android TV, and mobile devices.
• Execute test cases and document test results to ensure product quality and stability.
• Identify, track, and report defects using bug tracking tools.
• Work closely with development, product, and QA teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Participate in test planning, test case design, and test execution.
• Support automation efforts and contribute to improving testing processes.
• Perform cross-device and cross-platform compatibility testing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in OTT application testing or streaming media platforms.
• Hands-on testing experience across Smart TVs, Roku, tvOS, Android TV, and mobile devices.
• Strong knowledge of functional testing, regression testing, and test case management.
• Good understanding of video streaming technologies and OTT workflows.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred / Nice To Have

• Basic experience with Selenium automation using Java.
• Knowledge of automation frameworks and test scripting.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST clients.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
