Join GovCIO as an Automation Quality Assurance Tester and contribute to the full lifecycle application testing of EEOC Enterprise applications in a dynamic, remote setting. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement effective testing methods and equipment to ensure product compliance with specifications.
  • Plan and coordinate labor, schedules, and equipment needed for thorough testing and evaluation of applications.
  • Craft detailed test cases and scenarios to carry out comprehensive testing procedures.
  • Collect data, identify necessary changes, and report defects or issues discovered during testing.
  • Engage in product walkthroughs and collaborate with development teams to facilitate testing activities.
  • Analyze and diagnose product issues, develop robust testing procedures, and implement testing processes, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
  • Create detailed reports for each testing activity, tracking metrics to ensure quality and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and enhance test processes through failure analysis and reporting to leadership.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of related experience is required.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development processes.
  • Proficient in creating advanced automated testing frameworks for comprehensive end-to-end validation of integrated systems.
  • Ability to write Java code for automating tests within business or data layer applications.
  • Core capabilities in Java, with expertise in using Selenium for automation tasks.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and a solid grasp of backend systems.
  • Experience in implementing Selenium BDD frameworks and excellent understanding of Cucumber BDD framework and reporting tools.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
  • Ability to design and develop UI automation frameworks for complex applications.
  • In-depth understanding of service-oriented architectures and REST APIs.
  • Experience in testing system changes to prepare for production deployments.
  • Skilled in executing test plans, scenarios, and procedures, as well as documenting defects in JIRA.
  • Expertise in functional, non-functional, system integration, and regression testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud systems like Azure.
  • Proven experience working with version control systems such as GitHub and Git.
  • Commitment to maintaining and updating automation code with each new application release.
  • Experience with application monitoring tools such as DataDog or Splunk.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative team spirit are essential.

Clearance Required: Eligibility to acquire EEOC Public Trust.
