Dispatcher and Customer Service Representative

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Service Dispatcher Representative to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional service and support in the areas of logistics and transportation management. Your expertise in various systems and your strong communication skills will be essential in ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels with professionalism and clarity.
• Utilize GIS and GPS technologies to assist customers with their transportation needs.
• Manage transportation planning and logistics to ensure timely delivery of freight.
• Input data accurately into transportation management systems, including Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.
• Handle dispatching duties, coordinating with drivers and ensuring efficient fleet management.
• Maintain records of shipping & receiving activities, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Analyze data related to supply chain operations to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide support for 3PL operations, enhancing overall service delivery.
• Demonstrate effective phone etiquette while managing multi-line phone systems.
• Able to work a multi-line phone, handheld radio, computer, and email
• Have no visual issues that hinder distinguishing between colors

Experience

• Proven experience in customer service or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems and logistics processes is highly desirable.
• Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
• Proficiency in typing and data entry tasks with attention to detail.
• Experience with freight operations, dispatching, and fleet management is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $18.25 per hour
