Associate Software Engineer - US Only
CALERO
Calero, the leading technology expense management solution for complex enterprises, is looking for a bright and enthusiastic Software Engineer to join one of our teams in the US or UK. Reporting to a Sr. Director of Engineering, the successful candidate will get the opportunity to work on innovative, highly visible and business critical software that gets used every day within the world’s largest financial institutions and multi-national organizations.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Proficient in C#.NET and SQL
- Experience with React and TypeScript/JavaScript
- Ability to convert mockups or designs into functional components
- Thorough understanding of code reuse and extensibility
- Object-oriented programming knowledge and knowledge of sound design patterns
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and experience writing various levels of tests
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Demonstrated understanding of the use of AI based LLM technologies such as Google Gemini, Claude, etc.
- Experience with Data Wrangling in Data Analysis. (e.g. Transforming raw unstructured data into a usable format)
- Azure
- Understanding of web accessibility
- UI testing frameworks such as React Testing Library, Jest, Playwright, or Cypress.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent/equivalent experience
- Foundation in software engineering principles and paradigms and passionate about new technologies
- 1+ years of experience developing software.

The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000. It is important to Calero that potential candidates for this position understand that compensation depends on numerous factors including the geographic location where the role will be performed, skills required, experience, complexity, travel, and market rate. Calero aims to reward performance and attract top talent with competitive, fair pay and benefits. Please note that the top of the salary range represents exceptional, and/or senior-level positions, that meet all required qualifications. Actual offers take candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience into account. Base Pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
