Senior Software Developer for Automation and Test Frameworks

Job Overview

As a Software Engineer Developer on our Packaging and Deployment Team, you will play a key role in planning and executing the creation, testing, and maintenance of Zero Touch Installations (ZTI), Light Touch Installations (LTI), automated deployment solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include participating in technical reviews, assisting in planning and estimating future work, utilizing your development or scripting skills to automate task sequences and reduce turnaround times for development or deployment of products, maintaining and expanding automated test frameworks and writing automated tests, working closely with more experienced Packaging test team members to develop test-based skills and gain familiarity with the technology under test, creating and maintaining technical documentation with a focus on test artifacts such as test plans and test cases, providing recommendations for continuous improvements, engaging with customer representatives, vendors, and other department staff, supporting the execution of test cases and coordinating with development teams and other stakeholders to assess testing results, and writing system problem reports on issues encountered during test execution.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Applied Science or related technical/scientific degree
• Proficient in software development using one or more Object Oriented Languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Scripting experience ideally with PowerShell
• 2+ years of experience in related positions
• Experience in the investigation, analysis, and resolution of complex system issues with the ability to understand interdependencies and interactions between subsystems
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to describe technical subject material effectively to non-technical audiences
