As second-time founders, we experienced burnout during the pandemic. This inspired us to build a solution that enhances wellbeing in workflows. However, we couldn't find a suitable tool, so we created our own platform.

At mello, we're setting the standard for tracking, measuring, and acting on burnout in remote and hybrid companies. Our platform offers suggestions for employees, managers, and HR to boost wellbeing, productivity, and retention.

About this Role

This is an opportunity to contribute to defining our engineering values, processes, and deployment cadence. As a modern Full-Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for both front-end UI elements and experiences, as well as integrating and maintaining backend services as needed.

You will ensure our application can scale from 1,000 to 1 million users.
You will split your time between front-end and back-end development, approximately 63.5% and 37.5%, respectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications

IAM / OAuth (e.g., AWS Cognito, Okta)
Frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue
In-depth CSS knowledge (SCSS, Sass)
Experience with third-party integrations including OAuth, SDKs (e.g., AWS SDK), and API backends
Development, improvement, and maintenance of custom API backends

What You'll Be Doing

Working with modern frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue; familiarity with analytics is a plus.
Implementing OAuth flows and integrating with third-party services.
Deploying front-end applications using services like AWS Amplify, Netlify, or Firebase.
Designing data fetching and caching strategies.
Applying Test Driven Development with frameworks like Jest.
