Software Test Engineer

About the position

Responsibilities

• Participate in software design and peer reviews.
• Develop test specifications and infrastructure.
• Execute manual and automated tests.
• Perform analysis of system implementation in an integrated environment.
• Test specific capabilities for interfaces or infrastructure in support of operations such as internal messaging, control and monitoring, message and display recording and playback, and failover processing.
• Coordinate lab resources, test results, and verification status with the program and customers.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in STEM; Master's degree is highly desired.
• Experience in testing and evaluating a software-intensive system in various test environments.
• Experience utilizing Agile development methodologies.
• Strong self-starter capable of diving into problems with assistance from other engineers and developers.
• Experience using DoD test methodologies, functional capability-related test/analysis planning and execution.
• Experience with planning and execution of test data collection, and test data analysis and reporting.
• Analysis experience involving characterization of system, software, or component performance using quantitative methods.
• Experience with Matlab, Java, Git, Eclipse, Unix, and Linux.
• Active Secret Clearance.
