Design System Software Engineer

As a Design System Software Engineer at Verily, you will be responsible for producing a reusable and accessible design system that supports an outstanding user experience.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the development team to design and deliver new application components.
• Come up with ideas to technical design problems, compare options, and propose solutions.
• Develop using industry-standard tools including GitHub, React, TypeScript, Storybook, and Cypress.

Minimum Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience in software engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience as a software engineer in an industry setting.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
• Strong React fundamentals.
• Clear written communication, especially in design and architecture documents.
• Ability to facilitate productive discussions across the extended team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with WCAG A11y standards and requirements.
• Testing experience (BDD, Integration).
• MUI library experience.
• Agile production methods (Jira).
