The Opportunity
Advancement & Partnerships seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to assist in the development of the divisions and UCF brand. This role involves providing professional digital graphic design and production services to departments within the division, focusing on maintaining and enhancing the university’s visual standards across various projects.
Responsibilities
Concept and Design Development
- Initiate concepts and designs for marketing collateral with a specific focus on digital executions and printed materials.
- Create and execute new and existing digital elements and printed materials under project direction and guidance from the Creative Services Lead.
Standards and Styles Maintenance
- Help develop and maintain standards and styles for division materials, publications, and ongoing digital and printed materials.
- Maintain graphic standards and fulfill various departmental requests.
- Maintain and update logo library.
Professional Consultation and Quality Control
- Provide professional graphic design consultation with division staff.
- Ensure quality control of artwork and supervise digital and printed work.
- Prepare design work for both digital and print applications.
- Ability to present, educate and guide on brand standards to ensure consistency.
- Review designs and provide branding and design feedback to meet standards.
Project Management
- Manage, schedule, and complete projects within established deadlines and budgets using current online systems.
Photography
- Assist with photography for special projects, publications, web, online platforms, and social media.
Collaborative Goal Setting
- Work with the division's Communications & Marketing team to establish goals and set new standards of quality for digital and printed pieces.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience in digital graphic design and production services.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Express, After Effects).
- Proficient in producing professional PowerPoint slide decks. Including the ability to translate data into visually appealing charts, graphs, and infographics.
- Ability to produce interactive PDF forms.
- Strong understanding of brand development and visual standards.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage budgets.
- Strong photography skills and experience with social media content creation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and team members.

Special Instructions to the Applicants
Advancement and Partnerships values the unique contributions that each team member brings to our division. The anticipated salary for a well-qualified candidate is $54,000 - $59,500. The final determination of a successful candidate's starting salary will vary based on several factors, including education and relevant experience. The anticipated pay scale indicated for this position generally applies to candidates who meet the minimum requirements and several of the preferred qualifications outlined above. All offers are contingent on successful background and reference screens.
