We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Laundromat Customer Service Attendant. As a Laundromat Customer Service Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our customers. Your primary role will involve assisting customers with their laundry needs, maintaining the laundromat facilities, and providing exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Customer Service: Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner. Assist customers with any inquiries or issues regarding the use of machines, payment methods, or laundry procedures. Provide guidance on the proper use of equipment and offer helpful tips when necessary. Ensure a positive customer experience by promptly addressing customer concerns and resolving any service-related issues.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regularly inspect and clean the laundromat premises, including the washing machines, dryers, folding tables, and other equipment.

Empty and clean lint traps, wipe down machines, and remove any debris or spills to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.

Monitor and replenish laundry supplies such as detergent, fabric softeners, and change for coin-operated machines as needed.

Report any equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.

Laundry Assistance

Offer assistance to customers who require help with operating the machines, selecting appropriate cycles, or handling special laundry items.

Monitor machines to ensure efficient operation, promptly addressing any malfunctions or issues.

Provide basic garment care advice to customers, including recommendations for stain removal or delicate fabric care.

Safety and Security

Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure environment for customers and staff.

Monitor the laundromat premises for any suspicious activity or potential security risks.

Follow emergency procedures and contact appropriate authorities in case of accidents, emergencies, or incidents.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with a diverse customer base.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain financial records.
• Basic knowledge of laundry equipment operation and laundry care techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, and lift heavy laundry loads when necessary.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
