Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Alpharetta, GA $115k - $120k/year & benefits (see below).

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Node.js Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Node.js, microservices architecture, REST APIs, databases, and cloud technologies. The candidate will work closely with front-end developers, product teams, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain server-side applications using Node.js.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.
• Integrate databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Redis.
• Collaborate with front-end teams for seamless API integration.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth).
• Participate in code reviews and follow best coding practices.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms.
• Write technical documentation and maintain development standards.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or Koa.js.
• Good understanding of Microservices Architecture.
• Experience in building and consuming REST APIs.
• Knowledge of databases:
• MongoDB
• PostgreSQL
• MySQL
• Redis
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab).
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
• Understanding of containerization tools such as Docker.
• Experience with message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Knowledge of GraphQL.
• Exposure to Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
