Our client is hiring a Software Engineer for a short-term project focused on data migration into next-generation platforms. The role involves working with modern cloud environments and SQL-based data movement to support large-scale application platforms. This opportunity is ideal for a strong engineer with deep SQL and AWS expertise who enjoys high-impact, fast-moving contract work.

Responsibilities

• Migrate data from legacy systems into PostgreSQL
• Assist in migration from MongoDB/MySQL to Postgres
• Create complex SQL queries and validation scripts
• Develop automated test scripts for migration (NodeJS, Python)

Must-Have Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong SQL development expertise
• Hands-on experience with AWS
• Experience migrating data from NoSQL to SQL systems
• Experience with scripting languages (NodeJS, Python)

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar
• Experience designing or supporting RESTful microservices
• Experience with AWS DMS
