Software Tester (QA specialist) - Contract Position

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Tester (QA Specialist) for a contract position to join our dynamic quality assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products through meticulous testing, automation, and analysis. You will collaborate closely with development teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to validate functionality, performance, and security across diverse platforms including mobile applications and web services. Your proactive approach and technical expertise will help us maintain the highest standards of software quality and user satisfaction.

Mandatory Qualifications

The proposed Software Tester must meet the following mandatory qualifications:

• A minimum of five (5) FTE years of experience in software testing, including test planning, test case development, and execution.
• A minimum of four (4) FTE years of experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• A minimum of four (4) FTE years of experience with test management tools such as JIRA RTM, Azure Test Plans, or HP ALM.
• A minimum of four (4) FTE years of experience performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and Regression Testing.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-by-year basis.

Desirable Qualifications

The proposed Software Tester may also meet the following desirable qualifications:

• Seven (7) FTE years of experience in software testing roles.
• Experience with performance and security testing tools.
• Experience testing in Agile/Scrum environments.

Possession of certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester or Certified Agile Tester.

Pay: $65.00 per hour
