You will be working in the Commercial Services OU based in Wolverhampton in where we are responsible for driving commercial transformation across Skanska UK where we create smarter ways of working that unlock value, strengthen partnerships and set us up for long-term success.
You will be working with our Highway Sector based on our M54 Project where our team is creating a vital 1.6-mile link road between the M54 and M6, complete with upgraded junctions and three new bridges. This direct motorway connection will reduce congestion and strengthen regional connectivity.
We are currently looking for a Senior Procurement Manager who will lead the procurement team to procure and manage agreements and subcontract packages, delivering best value solutions, and providing our Operating Unit and projects with a compliant, sustainable supply chain.
As The Senior Procurement Manager, You Will

As The Senior Procurement Manager, You Will
- Line management and development of procurement teams who undertake package procurement / category sourcing and/or category management activity.
- Strategic planning, co-ordination and reporting on scheme procurement management.
- Procurement and management of a portfolio of packages/categories across multiple areas of spend to optimise value to the business through strategic supplier selection and supplier relationship management.
- Development and on-going management of internal stakeholder relationships at all levels to identify and deliver procurement activity to support the UK Business Plan.
- Development and scrutiny of procurement strategies to clearly demonstrate and seek approval from stakeholders on how a product / service will be strategically procured.
- Undertake request for proposals (RFP) applying a balanced scorecard approach to select suppliers based upon criteria which is relevant to client’s and business objectives.
- Draft, negotiate and execute robust framework agreements / contracts incorporating relevant Skanska policies, to reflect the deal, and protect the business from risk, scrutinising agreements drafting by the team.
- Strong team leadership and line management to ensure team members develop, achieve their goals and deliver successful outcomes, providing a clear succession plan.
- Excellent analytical skills to drive the right decisions and outcomes.
- Practical mindset towards innovation in procurement.
- Confident and professional approach to stakeholder engagement, holding them to account when necessary to uphold legislative compliance and adherence to procurement policy.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant forms of contract.
