Junior Software Engineer

Location: Remote US (Maryland, Virginia, or New York residents only)

SignTraker Technologies, a leading provider of real estate sign management software, is seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our growing development team. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who enjoys hands-on coding, solving real business problems, and supporting customers in a fast-moving SaaS environment.

As a Junior Software Engineer at SignTraker, you will work on a mature and widely used platform, building new features, resolving bugs, improving system performance, and assisting with onboarding and support tasks. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers, product stakeholders, and customer success teams to deliver high-quality software and an exceptional user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development

Develop new product features and enhancements using C#, .NET Framework 4.6.2/4.6.5, MVC, JavaScript, and SQL Server.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve defects across the application stack.
Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and best practices within the engineering team.
Assist in maintaining and improving integrations, background services, and data workflows.
Collaborate with team members to refine requirements, propose technical solutions, and ensure high-quality releases.

Application Support & Customer Success

Provide top-level support for the SignTraker application, including investigating user-reported issues and delivering timely resolutions.
Assist with data cleaning, data imports, and account setup/configuration for new customer onboarding.
Work closely with the Customer Support team to ensure consistent, high-quality service and smooth customer experiences.
Help document solutions, best practices, and application behaviors to improve internal knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

1+ years of hands-on software development experience, ideally with exposure to web application development.
Foundation-level proficiency in:
C# / .NET (MVC, .NET 4.x)
JavaScript
SQL Server
Understanding of object-oriented programming and debugging techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and willingness to learn and grow within a supportive engineering environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Must reside in Maryland, Virginia, or New York (remote work available within these states only).
