Salesforce QA Functional Tester

Role Description / Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented Salesforce QA Functional Analyst with expertise in Salesforce Platform Core Development, Energy Utilities Cloud, and AgentForce
• The successful candidate will focus on validating the functionality, performance, and reliability of Salesforce implementations
• Work closely with development teams, business analysts, and stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business analysts and Salesforce developers to understand functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria related to Salesforce Core Development, Energy Utilities Cloud, and AgentForce features
• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and use cases
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) on Salesforce solutions within the Energy Utilities Cloud environment
• Verify workflows, automations, customizations, and integrations related to Salesforce AgentForce to ensure accuracy and expected behavior
• Identify, log, and track defects in coordination with the development team, and verify defect fixes through retesting
• Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and review meetings to provide quality feedback
• Ensure Salesforce solutions meet compliance and security standards relevant to the Energy Utilities industry
• Work with performance and automation teams to support broader testing efforts
• Document test results, provide detailed reports on test coverage, and communicate risks and issues promptly
• Stay updated with Salesforce platform releases, Energy Utilities Cloud updates, and AgentForce functionalities to ensure quality best practices
• Support continuous improvement by recommending process optimizations to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in Salesforce Platform Core Development concepts, including understanding of Apex, Lightning components, and Salesforce data model
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce Energy Utilities Cloud functionalities and industry-specific business processes
• Familiarity with Salesforce AgentForce and its related features for automation and agent management
• Proven experience in functional testing of Salesforce solutions, including creation and execution of test cases
• Basic understanding of Salesforce integration points and APIs
• Experience with defect management and test case management tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail)
• Good analytical skills with ability to translate business requirements into test cases
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with both technical and business teams
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and participation in sprint ceremonies
• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards in energy utilities domain is a plus
