PSI Metals North America Inc. seeks a Senior Quality Assurance Test Lead [Sr. QA Test Lead] to join our team in our Pittsburgh, PA office. The ideal Sr. QA Test Lead will have a strong background in both manual and automated testing, with a passion for ensuring the highest quality in software products and a proven track record of efficient and continuous testing in previous roles. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a challenging, collaborative environment. This role does require some travel as part of the job responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Testing: Coordinate comprehensive manual and automated testing in our projects to ensure the quality and functionality of PSI Metals’ software applications.
- Test Planning: Ensure the development, documentation, and execution of detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts tailored to our production management solutions and utilize the existing testing tools as well as investigating new ones.
- Defect Tracking: Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs using Jira or other defect tracking tools.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, product management, and other cross-functional teams to understand requirements, design comprehensive test strategies, and improve testing processes.
- Automation: Organize the use of automated testing using relevant technologies in projects.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure software meets all quality standards and project requirements prior to release.
Education and Background
- 10+ years of experience in software testing and testing coordination
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development/Engineering, or other technical field
- Experience in automated testing tools
- Genuine passion for testing and commitment to continuous improvement in quality assurance practices
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SLDC).
- Experience with Steel/Metals industry and related industries preferred
- Ability to work in the United States
