Senior Regression Test Engineer – Long-Term Contract (Public Financial Services Company on NYSE)

Location: USA-Based Only (Dallas or Columbus strongly preferred)

Compensation: $70/hour (40 hours per week)

Engagement: 1099 Contract via NextGen Coding Company (W9 needed to apply)

Team Size: Hiring 10 engineers

A major publicly traded financial services company is expanding a long-term regression testing division and seeks highly capable Senior Regression Test Engineers with deep enterprise testing experience. Candidates will work as contractors through NextGen Coding Company and will support large-scale financial platforms requiring disciplined testing practices, reliability, and precise execution.

Mandatory Requirements (Strict)

  • U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency only.
  • Must be 100% USA-based.
  • No offshore degrees.
  • Four-year accredited U.S. bachelor’s degree required.
  • Community college degrees are not accepted.
  • D1 university background strongly preferred.
  • Candidates who completed undergraduate education in India or other non-U.S. institutions are not eligible.

The client’s regulatory and compliance requirements necessitate a U.S.-educated, U.S.-based engineering team due to internal governance protocols.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 4+ years working inside a regression testing team, ideally within large enterprise environments.
  • Experience supporting regression testing for Fiserv or similar large-scale financial services platforms is a significant advantage.
  • Strong functional and regression testing capability across complex financial systems.
  • Ability to design, maintain, and execute test suites for mission-critical applications with strict SLAs.
  • Experience with testing tools, test automation frameworks, and defect management workflows.
  • Ability to interpret logs, validate backend workflows, and collaborate with engineering during defect triage.
  • Familiarity with large enterprise dev environments including CI/CD pipelines, multi-environment testing setups, and controlled release cycles.

Role Responsibilities

  • Execute and refine large regression test suites across financial services platforms.
  • Ensure reliability and stability across products with heavy compliance requirements.
  • Document repeatable testing workflows and maintain clear coverage reporting.
  • Partner with development teams during issue identification, debugging, and resolution.
  • Support ongoing improvements to regression coverage, governance, and quality metrics.
  • Demonstrate consistent accuracy, predictable delivery, and strong communication with cross-functional teams.
