Overview
Linney is a world-class, multichannel marketing services business. We are looking to appoint a senior software tester (QA) to join our small but dynamic digital signage team.
This is a hands-on role where the successful candidate will take ownership of quality assurance processes, mentor others, and help shape our testing strategy as we deliver high-quality software for engaging visual experiences. They will act as the lead QA when the QA Manager is unavailable, providing guidance and support to other testers and developers, and helping to define and improve QA processes and standards, taking ownership of critical testing decisions and priorities. They will have the chance to work on innovative digital signage projects with real-world impact and gain hands-on experience with automation and modern QA practices.
This is a hybrid role with at least two days a week in our Mansfield office.
Responsibilities
- Lead QA in the absence of the QA Manager, providing guidance to testers and developers and helping define testing priorities.
- Shape and improve QA processes and standards and take ownership of critical testing decisions.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure high-quality software for digital signage projects.
- Mentor other testers and contribute to the testing strategy and automation efforts.
Essential experience and qualifications
- Strong knowledge of software testing principles and best practices
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality software
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
- A collaborative mindset where they are comfortable asking questions, sharing knowledge, and giving and receiving feedback
- A curious, inquisitive approach with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills across all levels
- Experience with Azure DevOps
- Basic networking knowledge
- Familiarity with Visual Studio and test automation tools
- Interest in learning automation
