Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM. The ideal candidate is a self-driven professional who can work independently, contribute to design discussions, and support development, testing, and conversion activities.

Required Technical Skills

Mainframe Development Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience with:
• COBOL
• JCL
• DB2
• VSAM
• Ability to review technical designs and complete assignments with minimal supervision.

Additional Relevant Skills

• Experience with mainframe coding and batch processing
• Exposure to API integration on mainframe (nice to have)
• Understanding of conversion processes and ETL methodology
• Ability to identify risks, raise issues, and provide proactive solutions

Mainframe Tool Experience

• Easytrieve
• SORT utilities
• ICETOOL

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, document, and implement mainframe-based applications
• Support full lifecycle development activities
• Participate in solution architecture and technical design
• Develop and maintain JCL and COBOL programs
• Conduct unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning
• Monitor and verify conversion processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solution
