Lead Full Stack Developer

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in full stack web application development, with 3+ of those years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of: Microservices architecture. CI/CD pipelines, Git and automated testing.
• Skilled in both front-end frameworks and back-end technologies.
• Hands-on experience with: Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ or MQTT, SQL and NoSQL databases, AWS cloud services.
• Git/GitLab for version control.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Redis caching.
• .NET and C# experience.
• Cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of satellite networks or mobile communication technologies

As the Lead Full Stack Software Developer, you will architect and build enterprise-grade client-facing software, driving design, development, integration, and testing while ensuring performance and maintainability. You’ll lead planning and design efforts, champion best practices, and propose innovative concepts and architectures to advance solutions. Collaboration is central to the role, as you’ll work with cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements and specifications. Additionally, you’ll mentor and inspire developers, fostering skill growth and guiding methodologies, while spearheading initiatives to evolve the software development lifecycle, tools, and practices. This role is 5x week onsite in Ottawa, ON.
