Senior Software Test Engineer

Function We're looking for a quality assurance consultant to join our client's team dedicated to delivering exceptional software solutions. In this role, you will focus on both functional and technical testing of software products, web applications, and microservices, ensuring they are error-free and provide a satisfying user experience. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to identify areas where automation can enhance efficiency. Responsibilities and Role The position involves working in an Agile environment as part of a self-organizing team committed to continuous improvement and optimal application delivery. Your primary responsibility will be to perform functional and technical testing on the user stories developed during each sprint, thus helping to prevent defects and ensuring that end-users receive the best experiences possible. You will also assist in filtering issues reported from various sources, which will relieve team members and elevate the quality of logged issues. Key Tasks Manual Testing Develop test cases based on provided user stories, collaborating closely with the team across various technologies and projects. Create and execute test cases while monitoring the continuity and stability of final products. Report and track identified defects and prepare necessary test data, while managing available test data. Familiarity with technical tools such as Jira, SharePoint, LambdaTest, BrowserStack, Office 365, and SQL databases is necessary. Automated Testing Design automated test cases for new applications and microservices and revise them for modifications in existing applications. Configure both Cypress and Newman/Postman tests within a CI/CD pipeline. Knowledge of Cucumber, Java, Selenium, Cypress, and Newman/Postman is necessary. Profile of the Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will be well-versed in creating test plans based on project documentation, contributing to effective communication within the team. You should have a good understanding of user-friendliness, familiarity with web/front-end development, and microservices, as well as a commitment to keeping up with the latest industry advancements. Additionally, the ability to analyze potential risks and assess the impact of defects is highly valued. Skills & Competencies Strong analytical skills with a meticulous approach to work and the ability to delve into programs to identify potential issues. Creativity in proposing solutions for identified bugs, while maintaining a customer-centric approach to deliver tangible value. Excellent communication skills, coupled with resilience under stress, allow you to thrive as a team player and as an independent contributor.
