Software Tester I

Overview We are looking for a Software Tester I to work remotely from Hawaii or Continental U.S.

The Software

Tester I is a team member who is starting or in the early stages of their career in software quality assurance. As a part of the team, analyze and implement testing activities in support of the design, development, and implementation of large, complex PeopleSoft projects. Ensure the delivered software and documentation is adequately tested and meets quality and compliance standards.

Work closely with teammates and clients in design sessions to translate user requirements into system requirement specifications

Write test scenarios, test cases, and test plans

Perform unit testing, functional requirements testing, and regression testing for sprint releases

Identify and prepare test data in support of test activities

Analyze, report, and track defects found during testing

Track and communicate project testing status to key stakeholders throughout the development process

Use best practices to test and deploy changes from staging environments to production

Ensure delivery of code and systems meets performance, operational readiness, and other non-functional requirements

Qualifications Skills/Qualifications: The following skills are desired for this position:

Thorough knowledge of the Agile development process

Proficient in use of JIRA for requirements and defect management

Experience writing and executing SQL queries

Experience reading and editing XML files

Experience with PeopleSoft software preferred
