About the Role
We are seeking an early-career ECM Software Validation & Test Automation Engineer to support validation and automation efforts for advanced Gas Engine Control Module (ECM) software. This role offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of embedded systems, software quality, engine controls, and test automation.
The ideal candidate will have experience with software testing, troubleshooting, automation scripting, and embedded control systems. This position focuses heavily on transforming manual validation processes into automated test solutions while supporting software release quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute software verification and validation activities for Engine Control Module (ECM) software.
- Analyze test results, identify failures, and perform root cause investigations.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts and validation frameworks.
- Convert manual test procedures into automated test solutions.
- Support software release validation and regression testing activities.
- Work with embedded control systems and electronic control modules.
- Utilize CAN/J1939 communication tools for diagnostics and validation.
- Collaborate with software developers, controls engineers, and validation teams.
- Document test results, defects, and corrective actions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in:
- Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- 0-3 years of experience (internships considered).
- Understanding of embedded systems and Electronic Control Modules (ECMs).
- Knowledge of software verification and validation processes.
- Experience with Python, C#, or similar scripting/programming languages.
- Ability to troubleshoot software and system issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
