Envestnet is seeking a Software Engineer I to join our Technology department. This is a hybrid role, with in-office work required at our Berwyn, PA office location.

Job Summary
As a Software Engineer I, you will collaborate with a team of developers, technical leads, and architects to build high-quality software solutions that drive our business forward. You will contribute to various aspects of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual who is eager to learn, expand their technical skills, and work on real-world fintech solutions.
Job Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable, high-performance web applications and backend services.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code under the supervision of senior engineers..
Assist in Agile development processes, including Scrum, story refinement, and sprint planning.
Collaborate with senior engineers and technical leads to participate in the design and implementation of software solutions.
Debug and troubleshoot issues to improve system performance and reliability, escalating as needed.
Conduct unit testing and contribute to automated testing frameworks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leaders, articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent.
0-3 years of hands on software development experience (or equivalent practical experience).
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript).
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), data structures, and algorithms.
Experience in modern web development and RESTful APIs
Experience in relational databases such as MS SQL or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
Ability to work in a collaborative and agile development environment.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge in AWS cloud technologies
Good understanding and practical experience with OAuth Standards and API Security
