Lead Software Test Engineer 💰 Salary: $90,000 - 130,000 per year

📝 Rquirements

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in automated unit and integration testing.
• Bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proficient in test automation frameworks and tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
• Familiarity with CI/CD technologies (e.g., Cloudbees, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Cucumber, Git, JUnit, Jira).
• Strong background in modern scripting language testing.
• Extensive experience in automated testing and test-driven development.
• Detailed understanding of smoke testing, functional testing, non-black box testing, and regression testing.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and functional testing.
• Expertise in backend test automation using Rest Assured/Karate for API testing, and JDBC/JPA for database testing (Oracle/DB2/Snowflake).
• Experience in Java Application Development.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Java, Python, C#, etc.).
• Knowledge of databases and SQL is preferred.
• Experience in writing SQL queries.
• Familiarity with Agile/Waterfall methodologies and onsite/offshore work coordination.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills.

👩‍💻👨‍💻 Your responsibilities are

• Design, develop, and implement automated testing procedures to ensure software quality.
• Collaborate with the squad to thoroughly understand software requirements.
• Create, develop, and sustain automated tests to verify functionality.
• Work with the team to identify and rectify defects while refining the overall software testing process.
• Implement and uphold continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD) practices.
• Diagnose and resolve software issues effectively.
• Stay informed on emerging software testing methodologies, tools, and technologies.
• Apply industry standards and best practices in testing.
• Establish expertise in relevant business areas, systems, and platforms.
• Conduct system integration testing, including the automation of newly developed or enhanced applications.
• Review requirements and design documentation, and create unit, integration, and system test cases ensuring thorough test coverage.
• Communicate effectively the business relevance and value adds of projects.
• Actively engage in translating business and functional requirements into tangible outcomes.
• Undertake project coordination and technical management responsibilities.
