Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a strong Java development background to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Java development, automation framework design, API testing, UI testing, and CI/CD integration.

The candidate will work closely with developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable software.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks using Java.
• Develop automation scripts for UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Leverage strong Java programming and object-oriented development principles to build scalable automation solutions.
• Create and maintain reusable automation components, utilities, and test libraries.
• Perform API testing using tools such as REST Assured, Postman, or equivalent.
• Develop UI automation using Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
• Analyze test failures, troubleshoot defects, and collaborate with development teams to identify root causes.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to automation framework and coding standards.
• Work with developers to improve application testability and implement quality engineering practices.
• Perform database validation using SQL.
• Develop test strategies and automation approaches for complex applications and microservices.
• Maintain test documentation, automation reports, and defect tracking.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and automation practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing / SDET / Quality Engineering.
• Strong hands-on Java development/programming experience.
• Strong knowledge of Core Java, OOP, Collections, Exception Handling, Multithreading, and Java 8+ features.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver or Playwright.
• Experience developing automation frameworks using Java.
• Strong experience with REST API automation and testing.
• Experience with REST Assured and/or Postman.
• Strong understanding of JUnit, TestNG, or similar testing frameworks.
• Experience with Maven or Gradle.
• Strong knowledge of Git/GitHub/GitLab.
• Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of SQL and database validation.
• Experience testing RESTful services, microservices, and distributed applications.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design, regression testing, and defect lifecycle.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Spring Boot / Spring Framework.
• Experience testing microservices-based applications.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with cloud-based testing and distributed systems.
