PART-TIME KITCHEN ASSISTANT / DELIVERY SUPPORT

BiteWize Foods is looking for a reliable, energetic team member to join our catering kitchen. This is a part-time position ideal for someone who enjoys cooking, working in a fast-paced environment, and delivering great customer experiences.

Position Overview

You will support daily kitchen operations including cooking, prepping, packaging food for delivery, maintaining a clean workspace, and assisting with short local deliveries when needed.

Responsibilities

Assist with cooking and food preparation following recipes and standards
Portion, package, and label meals for delivery
Support delivery operations (loading, unloading, and occasional drop-offs)
Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen at all times
Handle daily prep lists and ensure ingredients are stocked and organized
Wash dishes, clean equipment, and follow all food safety procedures
Help with inventory rotation (FIFO)
Assist Chef/Lead with other tasks as needed
Ensure proper storage of hot and cold foods
Follow health department and commissary rules at all times

Requirements

Proficiency in Food Preparation and basic Cooking techniques
Kitchen experience required/Prior experience in food service or kitchen operations
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (food trays, boxes, supplies, etc.)
Reliable transportation for commute (company covers delivery mileage when applicable)
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Must be punctual, organized, and able to work independently
Flexibility with scheduling (weekday mornings, afternoons, some weekends)
Professional and positive attitude

Compensation

$16.50 per hour
Part-time role (approx. 15–25 hours weekly depending on events & workload)

Location

Orlando, FL — working from our commercial kitchen.
