• Using Industrial Automation systems: Motion controls, I/Os, are pluses.

Overview

Siemens Industry, Inc. is actively seeking an entry level Software/Firmware Test Engineer to join our team in Johnson City, TN. This is a contract position where you will collaborate with an international project team to develop and release cutting-edge industrial automation products.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in C# programming and a willingness to learn
• Knowledge in testing firmware for complex embedded runtime environments
• Strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic
• Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Execute functional tests on industrial automation products
• Collaborate with team members to analyze requirements and define test cases
• Evaluate the testability of requirements and provide feedback
• Identify potential technical issues or design flaws
• Communicate and coordinate with internal stakeholders including developers, support staff, technical writers, project managers, and QA personnel
