Sr. Software Developer/Architect w/Top Secret Clearance
A3 Consulting LLC is looking to hire a Sr. Software Developer & Architect for our government customer. The Developer/Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Java and .Net-based applications. - Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure applications.
- Architect solutions for complex business problems using both Java and .Net related technologies.
- Resolve complex problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
- Optimize performance of applications through tuning, caching, and efficient algorithms.
- Act as team lead on individual projects, providing support across all program teams as/where needed.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT and business stakeholders, to align with organizational goals
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and security best practices.
- Conduct architecture reviews to ensure adherence to architecture standards, and security best practices
- Participate in the development of software user manuals and other program and technical/system documentation.
- Adhere to and champion Agile methodology principles focusing on collaborative, iterative, and flexible work to deliver value quickly and incrementally
- Stay current with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and integrate them into development processes.
Qualifications for the role
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience as a software engineer.
- Demonstrated understanding of system development lifecycle, the requirements process, Software design, and Software testing techniques.
- Experienced in DevOps and Agile best practices.
- Familiarity with container platforms for custom built application (Docker, OpenShift, etc.).
- Modern front-end web programming techniques (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, ES6, Event-driven APIs (e.g., event mesh) and libraries (e.g., Vue).
- Proficient in Alfresco API.
- Strong knowledge of both Java and .Net coding standards (and best practices), design patterns, and code optimization techniques.
- Experience with Java IDEs (e.g., Eclipse, JetBrains, IntelliJ, NetBeans).
- Experience creating external modules and packages.
- Experience with at least one of the common Java build tools (Ant, Maven, Gradle – familiarity with all of these is a plus).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write technical documentation.

Salary range
- The salary range of this position is $160,000 - $180,000 commensurate with experience and achievement.
